I even stole a chapter of one to repurpose for the <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/SWRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SWRPG</span></a> I was running at the time.</p><p>I enjoyed the Ascendancy trIlogy more, perhaps because it just felt like a good set of <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/scifi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>scifi</span></a> adventures, rather than yet another <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/StarWars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StarWars</span></a> tale.</p><p>So I do recommend reading them. (Caveat: I haven't read any of the old Thrawn novels, so I don't know how they compare.)</p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a></p>
