🎉 I’m diving into Home Assistant for the first time and I’m curious to hear what others think from a blind user’s perspective! I’ve been exploring the iPhone app with VoiceOver, and it seems pretty accessible so far.

Currently, I’ve got:
🗣️ 3 Amazon Echo devices
🎵 2 HomePod Minis
🔔 2 Ring Video Doorbells
🛡️ SimpliSafe Security System

I’m looking to expand my setup soon and would love to hear from the community—what’s your experience with Home Assistant, especially when using screen readers? Is there anything I should keep in mind?

Also, if there’s a way to get in touch with support or help out with testing accessibility, let me know!

Anyone familiar with integrations want to make my day? 😅 I would love a PlayStation Network integration that exposes my current game, so I can set the lights in my theater room to a matching scene automatically.

There appears to be a decent PSN API that should expose this. github.com/achievements-app/ps

My old smart home hack for my blind remote on the left (servos!) versus my new version (direct tapping the pcb). The new one is smaller and responds much faster but I miss watching the “fingers” stab the buttons when we adjusted the blinds! On the plus side, the remote now runs directly off the 3.3v line on the @seeedstudio Xiao C3 instead of its own battery! Just need to design and print a lid now!
